  I booked a cabin there for New Years Eve. Not only were the staff extremely disrespectful but they came to the door numerous times and even photographed everyones ID cards fo some unknown reason. They threatened to call the police more than a few times. (Although were were doing nothing illegal) We were just sitting in the cabin listening to music. We left a day early after feeling so insulted. DO NOT STAY HERE. THERE ARE MANY OTHER much nicer places in Cooks Forest

  My party and I made a reservation to stay at a cabin at this resort. We got a call about 3 days before the reservation, telling us that since it was a holiday weekend, and their policy is to only book a cabin for the whole weekend, they were canceling our reservation!!!
  
  so now we have no place to go, and we've already made plans to go to cook's forest for a day! we called off work, took vacation days, etc etc, because they screwed up and wouldn't make it right!!! Also, the lady we spoke to on the phone was INSANELY rude!!!
  
  Also...I'd like to point out that I'm pretty sure the 5 star review here is by the owners themselves. The restaurant is "mama doe's", the review is BY "doe"....that's pretty damn fishy if you ask me
